Living Our Core Values

Any time you log into Linkedin, you instantly become swarmed by content. From blog posts to podcasts, video series to articles, and especially networking opportunities, there are people sharing at all times, posting material covered in inbound marketing buzz-words and hashtags. If you are engaged on Linkedin or any other social media platform, you’ll understand exactly where I’m coming from. So why at Wepco are we choosing to add to all of the noise in 2020? There are four simple but profound reasons that drive our involvement, and they revolve around our core values.

Number 1: Always Do the Right Thing. At immediate analysis, you might not see clearly how this relates to social media. But, there’s an old saying by Edmund Burke that goes, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Sometimes, the best way for us to show our support or disagreement is by utilizing these platforms, and by this, we are doing something. It allows us to support our colleagues and our industry, while allowing our team members to initiate their voices, which is something they might not have had the opportunity to do before. We’d argue that by speaking up and speaking out, we are doing the right thing.

Number 2: Never Stop Improving. Three plain words that we think most clearly define our vision at Wepco and drive our leadership team to happiness and success. We have made a commitment to ourselves, to our customers, to our team and even to our families and friends that we are going to continue making improvements to ourselves, and to Wepco. By sharing this journey with transparency to our network, we are held accountable in our continuous improvement journey.

Number 3: Impact Our Community. A cherished colleague of mine likes to say, “When one of us grows, we all grow.” And he couldn’t be closer to the truth. We hope that by sharing some of our areas of improvement, we help our colleagues and community grow together. We believe in the power of partnership, and the power of partnership allows for mutual impact. There is something exceptional about meeting a colleague who is in a similar place on their journey of continuous improvement. There is something extraordinary about connecting with a customer whose values mutually align. And certainly the best part about it all is being able to visibly see the impact a small company can make on a community, and furthermore an industry.

We’ve reached Number 4: Do More. While initiating this blog is a concrete marketing play, it’s much more to us; it coincides with the Wepco way. This blog serves as a mechanism to speak up and speak out, while honoring what we find most important, and allows us to share our challenges and mistakes. Even if a single person can learn from us and share with us, we have stepped toward success. We hope you will join us on the 2020 Injecting Our Opinion journey as our leadership team shares triumphs, struggles, best practices and of course, our acquired knowledge on mold building and injection molding. As you follow along with us, here’s our challenge to you; find what you value and leverage those values to make an impact on your local and extended communities.
